About Dr. Michael Gaudiani

Dr. Michael Gaudiani is a resident physician in orthopedic surgery at Henry Ford Health (HFH) in Detroit, Michigan. As a fourth-year resident physician in the Henry Ford Hospital program, Dr. Gaudiani helps to provide musculoskeletal care to patients all over the greater Metro Detroit area. Henry Ford Hospital is the flagship hospital of the health system and a Level 1 trauma center with some of the sickest patients and worst injuries in the state.

A distinguished and prolific researcher, Dr. Gaudiani has also contributed significantly to his field. He has authored an extensive portfolio of peer-reviewed research papers in orthopedic surgery and has presented at multiple regional and national conferences.

A Graduate of Harvard University and Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine

Michael Gaudiani’s undergraduate work was at Harvard University, where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Human Evolutionary Biology with a minor in English. He received his medical degree in 2021 from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio, with Honors in Research and joined Henry Ford Health shortly after. Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine is a US News and World Report Tier 1 medical school and Ohio’s largest biomedical research center.

Dr. Gaudiani was first introduced to the medical field while attending Harvard University, when he worked as a licensed EMT-B at a local ambulance company, providing pre-hospital care to patients in the greater Boston area. After graduating, he worked as a research assistant at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City, coordinating clinical research efforts and assisting in the creation of conference presentations and manuscripts. There, his interest in orthopedic surgery and clinical research began.
